I got the sense that she is using humor as defense, or a kind of fortitude, against some serious pain for the people around her. It's a lot of fun if you're in. The content is not original but the delivery is well entertaining. I loved the blog but I don't much care for the culture it speaks to. Just don't care for assertive (rabid) Tamilness. (Yes I'm sorta Tamil myself--not acculturated, but that is where my father's people are from and on my mother's side its diverse Madras Presidency (i.e basically south indian). Most of the people who have responded so far appear to be Tamils (with tags like muttakose--cabbage). So clearly the blog is speaking on two levels--culture and feminism.
