Thank you! As a writer (not that much of a poet, but I've been writing more poetry lately for some classes), I really appreciate the Sepia Mutiny literature posts. Growing up in Canada, I don't think I've ever written anything specifically about my background. This has really gotten me to think about poetry in a different way.
beautiful post Pavani. It was great to learn more about the genesis of the project. I know many of us old-timers a contributing writer (or two or three or four) among our friends and have followed their work for some time, but even I was impressed by the range of perspectives and styles in the volume. I have loaned the book to a number of friends (brown and not brown), and it's always been returned with rave reviews. For those of you who are even vaguely interested in South Asian writing (or enjoy reading, cough, cough,) I consider this book a must-read.
Pavani, thanks for a great post.
