Pictures from the last India day at the Giants game I'm sure it's financially driven but it was noticeable.

They actually segregate the Indians into a section in the upper deck. No one else really notices that it is Indian night except for a few announcements during and before the game. Most of the white ticket holders probably think its Cherokee Heritage night or something when they hear the word Indian.

The Giants do this for everyone else, they even have Chinese heritage night even though like over 25% of SF is probably Chinese. They just want to make money any way they can. Sorta a gimmick, as if anyone really cares.

I attended the SF Giants desi day last year. Highlights included bhangra performances before the game on the sidelines, watching desi aunties in their best saris and gold walking around, dhol players and desis in the stands having their own party unrelated to the game and confused season ticket holders wondering which parallel desi baseball universe they had just entered.

sf giants do this for different cultures - they recently had filipino heritage night with guest pound for pound best manny pacquio throwing first pitch
