Quite an entertaining tete-a-tete. I am quite impressed with Colbert's quick wit. Rushdie, well still a pompous gasbag. Not sure he quite got the "canary in a coal mine" reference.

therein lies a 53 year old professor (approx age but i do know for sure that rushdie was around this age when he wrote this novel) who spends all his time either fucking nubile twenty year old girls or dreaming about fucking nubile twenty year old girls. said professor also ruminates on race relations, international terrorism and the fragmented diaspora of new migrants in the old world.

Way to go. Most of us DBDs don't have sex until we get to 53 when the arranged marriage system puts us out of our misery.

absolutely agree that rich is the new rich, as a somewhat feisty and anti-everything girl i hate to admit it but how 'set up' a guy is/was/will be and whether we'll go out with him/stay/dump him because of that is definitely a topic of conversation during those all night sleepovers where we feed each other marshmallows in our negligees.
