Bess, Tamil Rap/Hip Hop equivalents have been around int he sub genre of “Gaanaa” – Slum/Tapori songs, and “Kuthu” – beats songs (played and danced to in processions for the dead)…

Why does this have me thinking of a traditional New Orleans funeral? I’m going to be looking up ganaa and kuthu beat songs.
