hey no one is polite to me. you should let people decide what the point of this piece is. what is this the soviet union? i have nothing against anna or her writing. i only said this is not such a good piece of writing as the other comments make it out to be. it distracts from the message. the message would be better in prose. prose is more forgiving for overwrought melodramatic sappiness than verse. anyways i have had enough of this argument. i will leave you good people to yourself as no one seems to like what i am saying.

okay let me try to redeem myself by joining the chorus.

Here's a thought: redeem yourself by being polite, instead, i.e. letting it go after you've made your point. Everyone heard you the first time. No one said you had to like her or her writing...no one also said you were right to be so consistently douchey about it, either.

Everyone: please, move on. No more meta-commentary or writing-related remarks, please. This is not a poetry workshop; that wasn't the point of this piece. If you'd like to discuss Roe v. Wade, the emotional implications of it, policy wonking et al, feel free...or I'll throw you all out and start picking up the Solo cups. Thanks, kids.

No, it’s typical for Anna’s more personal posts – they seem to attract particularly ill mannered trolls who scream for attention.

Is it just me or this is like the second time I am observing trolls meandering the blog on Anna’s post…just to rant with irrelevance, I like this post because it has an important message which I think really is the main point of it and not what literary rules it indulges in and which it does not. I think focusing on those details will only deprive the reader of the message.
