Their life stories are absolutely painful-- hiding during the bombings, seeing dead bodies all over the roads, fleeing on foot to the cold mountains in Pakistan, leaving behind everyone and everything. No children should ever suffer such pain. It's incredible that No Strings has put this film together-- it gives me hope.
I’ve worked with Afghan refugee children in the Bay Area. I am reminded of the movie kandahar. there was this surreal scene of artifical legs raining down from the skies and people with one or less legs ripping out of their tents to chase after the best legs. sad.
This is really sad.
