As far as I know they let anybody turn up to these things, as long as you sign a confidentiality agreement and complete the form in triplicate confirming that you won't sue anyone for any injuries you may sustain during the meetup.....

Although I'm scared of what happens at these things once the gates slam shut behind you and you're suddenly surrounded by all these strangers in masks discreetly taking off their saris.

Hahaha the last one I went to was super. It was a lot of fun and I got to meet all the people I've admired here. I also ran into people I knew, you know the 2 degree of separation rule with desis. It was really just a very pleasant experience. After having encountered so many Indian message boards out there with a bunch of nimrods who drain your brain it was personally very exciting for me to meet other desis who are the complete opposites.

Yes Office Deepa, Esq. is making her home and office on the Peninsula (for now), but SF is waaaay more fun - so let's kick it up there.

DAMN IT!!!! A N N A! ! ! I’m out of town on the 26th celebrating my 27th in Veg-ASS. Can we have another meetup in September for those who are leaving DC and are konkani? And can we do a SM meet up in SF in October or November?

Can we just work around MY schedule? haha.
