saw reference to it a few days back. it’s crossed the ocean into the islands of the carribean. but not been detected in north america TTBOMK.TYCA.

Seems to have quite a few strains in Africa and Asia. There was an outbreak in DRCongo and Indonesia in 2002 as well. The symptoms are very dengue like..

This is very worrisome. The virus is carried by the Aedes aegypti mosquito which is prevalent in the sub continent. It's the mosiquito that carries the dreaded dengue virus.
