A brown person regarded as having a provincial, conservative, jingoistic often bigoted attitude.

I kind of like turbanhead's take on this:

When something is positive, we should take a reserved moderate middle of the road, but when something is wrong, one should jump in, pull their hair, curse all those who did wrong and blame the country.

My first comment was related to this post. Not as a general statement.

I still stand by what i said. If that is jingoism in someone's dictionary, then so be it !!

As for red neck jingoism....I stay away from everything red neck....thats why I am in NYC and not Texas !!

Red Neck jingoism is nauseating. Replace red neck with desi and it doesnt become any less nauseating.

(Note: I am not commenting on the appropriateness of this post. I think there is nothing wrong in this post. I am commenting on arZan's comment of 'nothing wrong with patriotic chest beating')

I do appreciate that at least Singhania didn't make his hot air balloon into one giant inflatable billboard...unlike Branson's considerably more crass Virgin balloon(s)...

I have to ask though; is this the new Â“mineÂ’s bigger that yoursÂ” game for the modern billionaire entrepreneur? Hot air balloon records?
