I have used Loreal eye shadows for years but now eye lids look burnt where I put it...odd thing is that a lady I work with said the same thing happened to her and she had to discontinue using it...now having to look for something else.

Heated eye lash curler...had lady who did makeup for a news cast on tv tell me to heat regular curler with my hair dryer. She also shared in lieu of liquid eye liner to use black shadow with thin brush to line eyes and stays much longer without smearking.

Hi all—Nice posts one and all and I just have to share that I found the absolute Best heated eyelash curler Ever, Hot Lashes. It was just recommended by INStyle magazine and I had to get it. I am an eyelash curler junkie, always looking for the best, For when my eyelashes are curled, my eyes come alive. It comes with a gold curler that is exactly like the Shu curler, a rounded pad and this great little heater unit that the curler just fits in. Takes a short amount of time to heat and wow, you curl your lashes and they last. INStyle says actually mild heat is good for your eyelashes. Hotlashes is the best, my searching ic complete..My lashes never looked better, had to share after reading all about eyelashes…Peace.

I am not sure if this is the right place to post this. But this is the only place I saw a text box so here goes. I looked all over the net for desi blogs - blogs with voice, personality and positioning absolutely desi. Sadly, this is just another NRI blog - Not Really Indian. Most of these posts have a firang voice and definitely firang positioning.

umm... i really AM indian... but whatever... apparently the term really is relative.

Firang positioning? The things you find funny - your sense of humor - is deeply rooted in your culture. Most of the posts here appeal to a largely American sense of humor. I may be wrong. But so I think.

So what would be real NRI sense of humor? One that is about the struggles and travails of desis as they try to make it on their own terms in a very crazy world.

I am sure there could be a better way to articulate this. But then I am not a writer, I am just a poster. But not an imposter.

I fear Ash is not aging, shall we say, naturally. I don't want to be catty, I get no pleasure from seeing her face start to look scary, but I think she is using artificial means to fend off the natural ageing process, and the resulting face (when not carefully lit) freaks me out.

She plays a woman who is supposed to be the opposite of glamorous or gorgeous in this movie so that's probably why they tried to downplay her looks however they could.
