He is an accomplished scholar. While I didn't always agree with his views, his arguments were for the most part cogent, and very persuasive. The books provides a justification for India’s actions in Kashmir, and the liberation of Bangladesh. It clearly outlines the pervasive political sentiment in Pakistan that led to these wars. And most importantly, he doesn’t write very stodgy like the standard Indian write (“Since Time Immemorial…etc”)

Makes me feel proud to be Bengali.

He gave a guest lecture for one of my classes, EVERYBODY loved the guy, even the unabashedly pro-pakistan professor. He is brilliant and rational.
