Unbelievable. I just studied a case similar to this in law school. The father had a botched vasectomy and had a child. He sued the doctor for breach of contract and wanted compensation in order to raise the child to adulthood. The court ruled against him, saying that he had other options if he didn't want the child, such as adoption. They also held that procreation is the reason people marry.
