Al-Thawra (Arabic: The Revolution) are a Taqwacore doom-crust hardcore punk band from Chicago, Illinois.  In their 2008 debut, “Who Benefits from War?” they mastered a collage of Hardcore Anarcho-postpunk with traditional Rai musical instrumentation.  A rhythmical, theoretical, ideological, and structural hybrid, Al-Thawra has defined a sound that is truly their own.
