Bibliography

ReadingThe South Asian Annotated Bibliography presents a glimpse into South Asian organizing history through mainstream media. We conducted a survey of articles through online databases such as Lexis-Nexis to find the stories of organizing in the past three decades.

We realize that the last five years, and especially after 9/11, our voices have become much more prominent both as journalists, writers, storytellers as well as in garnering press. We have tried to find articles before then, that point to early catalysts, first openings of organizations, and early organizing work that may have not even been called such. This is a slice (and obviously far from complete) of South Asian organizing history through the printed word.
