| South Asian American Leaders of Tomorrow (SAALT) |
Due to unfair policies and discriminatory treatment, South Asians are often unable to fully and equally participate in American civic and political life. Articulating policy objectives that affect our community is the initial step towards identifying strategies and partnerships to address public issues with effective action. A comprehensive and progressive national policy agenda can also further amplify and clarify the ongoing advocacy, organizing and educational efforts already being implemented effectively at the local level. SAALT is working with community organizations to articulate principles of unity that reflect the needs of our community through a social justice framework.
