Rasa Theater, a new company in New York, has been established to give actors, directors and playwrights of South Asian descent the opportunity to tell their own ethnically accentuated stories. It was founded by a trio of theater professional including actor Manu Narayan who is featured in an upcoming Bollywood-meets-Broadway rendition of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Bombay Dreams.” Co-founder Rajendra Ramoon Maharaj says, “We wanted to show what a great arts culture we come from.
