DAYA aims to promote healthy and harmonious family relationships in the South-Asian community by increasing awareness and providing peer support, information and referrals to women and children who are in crisis yet attempting to effect positive changes in their lives. DAYA promotes awareness of domestic violence through outreach and educational activities such as conducting seminars and publishing newsletters. DAYA is also involved in many South-Asian community based programs and events.
